Learn how to link compensation and benefits strategy to labor and bargaining strategy. Participants practice creating a collective bargaining cost sheet on economic and non-economic proposals and adjusts it based on the negotiations. Learn the implications of various decisions and practices using data to answer bargaining questions.

Effective March 16, 2020, the educational programs scheduled to be delivered at our New York City facility will be moved to virtual delivery, where possible, or rescheduled. For those programs that do not lend themselves to a distance-education format, we will postpone them until we receive guidance from the University and public health officials that it is safe to hold those programs in-person. Course

In this workshop, participants develop knowledge about fundamental issues in compensation and benefits strategy development and execution in an effort to link them to labor and bargaining strategy. This includes the financial implications of design choices, types of incentive pay plans and selected benefits that can be effective for different groups of employees. In addition, participants learn and practice creating a collective bargaining cost sheet and adjusting it based on the ebb and flow of negotiations. Participants cost out economic and non-economic proposals, practicing the costing implication of various collective bargaining decisions and understanding how to organize and use data to answer related questions in bargaining.
